Siblings Jem and Tom King of Melbourne duo Wise Child have released their first single ‘Tomoko’, a track that carries forth with dual vocals that sigh and echo across a landscape of boggy beats and pattering electronics. A promising debut single to say the least, ‘Tomoko’ continues and builds on from their demo ‘Figurehead’, adding weight to their rolling electronic harmonies with a heavy set of lower range notes and more prominent vocals.

Of the track Jem King explains, “Tomoko was a reflective process. We recorded the song when a few things had happened. One of which was our family dog Lucy passing away. We were both remembering how intuitive and hilarious she was.”

Wise Child are set to launch ‘Tomoko’ at The Old Bar on October 13th alongside an art exhibition from Josh Head and Leah Pavasaris. Joining them as support will be Alice Ivy, General Men and James Seedy.
